Default Back at it!!

Finally after months of not working on the mustang I'm back at it!! 2012 was a very busy year for me and pretty much didn't get anything done on the car. I'm at a point where I'm putting mustang in a shop to get all the body mods that I want done. I'm leaning towards JCG.

I sold all my engine parts, so I will need to start fresh with the engine build. I'm not sure what engine to run now? Was either thinking a 427 Windsor stroker or a coyote?? Any suggestions? I would love to hear input from you guys!

I've been going back and fourth over the past week trying to decide on what engine I want. I'm leaning a lot more towards the 427 stroker. I'm thinking I'll buy a long or short block and finish the rest off myself.

I would also go with the 427 Stroker Motor

Ok folks! I decided to go with the coyote engine. I plan on either getting a built coyote from MMR or the Ford Racing Aluminator XS crate. As for the transmission I'm going with a Magnum T-56.

Can't go wrong with either of those choices. If I was buying a motor again I would definitely give MMR a call to see what they might put together. On the other hand, You know the Aluminator XS will be bullet proof right out of the crate.

Oh, and look at possibly using the Ford T56 Magnum XL. It should place the shifter a little further back and closer to the driver's seat.

Ahhh decision decisions?? MMR can build me a solid built engine for about the same price as the Aluminator XS

I was looking into the Magnum T-56 XL too! Thanks for the advise, Matt

I also plan on moving the engine a few inches back. So still not sure if the Magnum or Magnum XL would be best. I need to get the shifter location dimensions before I make a decision.

Just make sure you get the engine before the transmission. Depending on which manifold you choose, setting the engine back will be... difficult. The Boss and Cobra Jet manifold are very tall. Basically everything except the stock manifold will be hard to package. The Boss 302 engine in my '65 sticks up about .25"-.5" above the cowl, and at least in my case, there is no way to drop the engine down enough to fit it under the cowl.
