Thanks Tracey! You know you would have done this interior except that Roy has his "team" --- and I'm not fighting that fight.

I did have to email Sid the other night after he posted pics of the braided door pulls on Instagram... and ask him "where the hell are the power window switches"?? HAHAHAHAHA He hid them in the door pockets 'cause he didn't like the looks of them in the "traditional" interior. I like his way of thinking!!!

Gotta tell ya buddy ---- GWEN is the one that was the most surprised. But after all the cars that have come and gone around here --- she understands. The best was when she found out my Red '67 BB 'Vette had been completely restored AGAIN (long story on that one - and the owner is still in federal prison)... and was going for auction at Barrett Jackson -- and she said "well - you are going to buy it back aren't you?" I think she's still mad that I didn't. The kids grew up in that particular one.

Geez, you don't geek out on details at all, do ya?

You should write a book called "Loved and Lost (Cars) of the Pacific Northwest. A Memoir Of Automotive Excess."

Or not.

When I first joined Lateral-g I was starting on my Camaro then I saw your Nomad and was hooked on it. They are one of my favorite cars and would always go back and check it out every time I logged on. Its not even mine and I hate to see it go.

So not sure if the "detail" comment is about the interior -- or the details in my posts.... if it's my interior -- it's really easy to be a copy cat and remember things you've seen that you say "next time". If it's my writing.... I type fast -- and it's just the way I am. LOL

RE: Writing a book. It would be a better more accurate book if I titled it -- Wasted days and wasted nights - how to turn a perfectly good car into a loss.

Thanks Wayne --- and yeah I kinda hated to part with it --- for me I have to remember that this is just a hobby. I'm not a "collector"... I like getting dirty and working on stuff... and while I've had fun working on the Nomad -- the entire car needs to be completely re-done if I was to keep it (I re-did the Red Vette at least 3 times top to bottom!)... and I just have other stuff I'd like to do now. When the kids were home -- I used the days while they were at school etc to bang away on the cars.... now with building a new house over here - that's going to take almost 2 years -- and with the new(er) track cars - I want to do more of that.... and realistically -- it'd be 3 years before I'd start that project and then a couple to complete... and I'd end up with the same basic car I had. It's the same reason I sold my '37 Ford to a buddy. I just knew I wasn't going to work on it for some time -- and then what's the point... ya end up just pushing 'em around the shop. I'd rather just acknowledge "life" and roll with it.

When the new house is done -- I want to build a "patina" hot rod... the kind you can drive in mud and snow... well maybe not the snow part... but that's what I decided I want to do. I'm kinda over the whole chrome and show car thing --- so will go racin' and road trippin'.
