I am in love with that interior. What color is that exterior Greg? (Sorry if you have to repeat yourself. I'm asleep at the wheel. )

Cool

Awesome rodney Greg! Everything about it is outstanding!

The Nomad really had an impact on me though. Way back in the day I had a 55, 56, and a 57. The 55 had a screaming 301 with an Isky solid, 4 speed. That thing would rev to the moon. 7200 redline.

One day on the streets of San Diego being a foolish young man, I engaged in an illegal act with a Mustang. The streets were slightly wet. When I hit 2nd it spun of course, and all I remember was seeing the Sun tach somewhere north of 8200...lol

That was followed shortly by some disturbing noises coming from under the hood. Limped back home and took the valve covers off. To my horror (lol) I saw 6 pushrods poking through the stock stamped rockers. Ahh...the memories...

It's a custom color so I have no idea what the "name" of it is... and the funny thing is -- When I went down to see it after it was out of paint --- Roy had a '32 in the shop (an older build) that was dang near identical... and the more we talked about it - the more I find out they've done several builds - each slightly different - but all in that same color family. Mine was stolen fair and square from Phil Reminington's '27 Track Nosed T.... which the owner was kind enough to remove a panel from and send it to Roy so they could duplicate the color.

It was painted by Darryl Hollenbeck - Vintage Color Studios in Concord, California. He'd have the color code and brand info etc.

I used to work at Portland International Raceway -- during the late 60's and early 70's... and I owned a '55 Handyman Wagon - 277 cu in - 8 stack mechanical fuel injection - D/Gas car. Body was acid dipped - lexan windows - jacked to the moon in the nose on a straight axle... I'd drop the hammer at 5,000... Muncies didn't live long... and you had to have a real valve train! Only way to make any power was RPM's. If the guy in the next lane was ahead - you ran it up til the nose dropped and shifted... WHAT TACH!?!?!?! It was still pulling! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Roy has it lined up for a magazine spread... but we won't do that until after the L A Roadsters show in June. I have to keep the car a secret until then.

Oh yeah ---- and running the skinny little LS motor instead of some big old iron block boat anchor of a motor allowed us to pinch the nose.... making that poor old FORD look a little better... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It looks like you got a great group of guys to put this one together! I love the classy style and hope to go to the show to see it in person.
