I was out there all day today and got some stuff done. I installed the HX pump and oil filter, then I put some hose seperators to keep the oil lines away from the headers.
Decided to paint the hood latch. Clean all the mill scale off , put it in the fast etch wait 45 minutes go out and rinse it off. Lightly sand the piece and prime it. Sweet looks good. Now sand with 400 wash it off with prep spray and ready for paint. All set up like I know what I'm doing, dew rag, resperator, paint all ready. I spray the whole back side ,perfect! do the edges and now the front. spray the whole thing Nice" oops a line from the wire its hanging from. No problem, I'm ready to spray, door opens crash bang! I look, nothing just something on the stairs that fell. look back BIG SAG! Time to shower see it tomorrow.

I put a rubber liner between the brackets and the mounting point so I won't get any vibration from the pump.

Here's where I mounnted the hose seperators.

These will direct them awa from the Headers down near the oil pan.

This keeps them away from chaffing on the framee stand and the third one away from the power steering pulley.

I'll add one more once I get the radiator back in so I camn make up the hose in it's final position.

Here are the oil filter and HX pump mounted.

Tomorrow I might get the radiator support back in.

I got the radiator support in on Friday and we installed the intercooler tank where the battery used to be. Now we're figuring out the hoses and fittings I'll need to plumb the heat exchanger.
We bolted the converter to the flex plate, man theres not much room to work doewn there. The trans cooling lines are connected to the trans and the other ends are ready to connect when I re install the trans cooler.
We cut the fuel hoses to legnth and installed the XRP fittings. I need to send them out so they can get crimped. I'm looking for someone with the XRP crimper to do them. We are trying to get a -16 90 degree fitting on the end of the HX hose. It's kicking our butts! we tried without success and decided to cut the hose end and get a fresh start. Still nothing. Tomorrow we try again. Wish for me to have the patients to not screw up the fitting, They don't make them anymore!

Well I decided to call XRP and ask if there was a secret de coder ring you wave over this fitting to get it to go on, they told me they changed the design of this fitting because of this problem. It took us about 4 hours to get the first one on so XRP is shipping me the newly designed nut that goes over the hose to alleviate the problem. They were great about helping me. I only wish I would have called sooner.
