Yes, do tell!

Just finished watching the episode... I still just can't figure out why Boyd would want everyone to see what goes on in his shop...especially if it's staged - wouldn't they stage it to seem like a COOLER shop? Then add drama and stir? Maybe he's laughing all the way to the bank, I dunno.

"Hi Miss Miles! (Can I call you Liz?)

My name is John and I have abysmal welding and metal fab skills which is why my present project, a ’66 Nova, is with Ironworks Speed & Kustom and not me! LOL!!!

Here’s what it looks like so far!

I am a member of several forums one of which you had posted on, Lateral-G.net! I found out later that you had asked Scott, the owner of Lateral-G, if he would sponsor you to stay on the site! I guess he said no since I didn’t see anymore posts from you! When I found out about this whole situation I thought it was kind of lame for you to have asked Scott if he would pay you to post on his forum! Well, there was some discussion about this on the forum and in the end we all chalked it up to either a mistake on your part or the prodding of someone else!( An agent or manager?) Most of the people on the forum that have met you thought you were very nice and, since I had already passed judgement on you I decided to rescind my feelings about the whole episode and apologize for having passed judgment without getting your side of the story! In any case, I would like to invite you back to Lateral-G as many of the guys(I think Lateral-G’s membership is up to 250,000 members!) would like to see you on the forum again! It was nice to get a womans perspective of the industry! In any case, this e-mail wasn’t for me to really invite you back to Lateral-G as much as it was to apologize for having passed judgement! Sorry!

BTW you should check out the shop that’s doing my works website! They’ve got some insane builds going on over there( Actually, they’ve been mentioned in the last few Popular Hot Rodding, Trucking, and Hot Rod magazines)and, you being a metal fab goddess, can appreciate the craftsmanship that these guys have! I really think that they are the next big shop much along the lines of Alan Johnson or Troy Trepanier!

http://www.ironworksspeedandkustom.com

Here’s a link to the build that Ironworks is doing that I posted on Lateral-G!

https://lateral-g.net/forums/show...t=4432&page=38

Good Luck!

John

P.S. I was wondering, since you are pursuing a TV career, have you thought about hosting a show in which you do a build and show what it’s REALLY like to build a hot rod! Many of the guys I know think that American Hot Rod is complete BS and are so sick of the soap opera that masquerades as a car build show but you would be the perfect spokesperson to build hot rods and I know of MANY that would watch with great intent! My .02!"

My guess is she had to sign some kind of confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement. Dammit.

I havent been on in a while, and quite interesting to fall on this thread, from time to time we talk meaning Liz and I.. at most idle friends but good conversation.. as coinincidence odd it may be we were talking tonight, I was aware of the new job and things at end but I never brought it up, to be honest didnt even think of it or care till I read this thread, All I do know she packed up her stuff moved to So Cal from No Cal kinda like packing your bags and moving to another state to those who dont know, Some may think a few days working at a shop and a couple days filming a show pays grand.. I dont think it would pay enough to head south.. But in the long run who really cares if she decides to tell she will.. I could really care less, I enjoy talking to her and she is quite a skilled fabricator at a young age she has drive and more eni****ive than most her age....

Default The dirt :)

Here's the dirt...

The day I interviewed I was introduced to Jo by Boyd. I said "Hi, I am Liz, nice to meet you" she said "hi" and that was the last time we spoke or made eye contact.

It was also funny to see the show how upset she got at Duane about me workin on the car. I guess customer cars are second rate and they are ok with that being said on national TV...

Her attitude was actually a blessing in disguise I got out of that shop... Kind of a stressful place to work...

Thanks too guys for the apologies means a lot to me!

So what's next Liz? Are you still in SoCal? Don't give up, you've got talent. Don't let that Circus of a shop get you down. Best of luck.
