cant wait to see it come together... and posts about issues with undercoating are just as interesting, especially if you have come up with somthing that works or discovered what doesnt...

This is by far the coolest build I've seen to date.

Question. You mentioned having kids. Is one of them a boy and how old is he? B/c if my dad was doing something like this and he didn't let me help or teach me, I'd tell him I was gay to even the score.

Yes, I have one of each daughter age twelve, into friends, books, and school(all honors classes at least three grade levels above norm). currently getting ready for her amateur robotics State meet. Son age nine likes sports, video games and generally avoids the shop at any cost. I guess it's gods way of paying me back for being such a difficult child. I have asked him to help but he just does not get into it. I have told them that if they want I would show them how to do anything they need. I have a better chance with the girl she shows a lot more talent and spirit it takes to do this. I just hope it changes soon.

Well, it occurs to me that perhaps not all of the modifications I made are technically 'street legal'

Default Did a little laundry this weekend

Hey, I coated the aluminum for the car this weekend. What a messy operation. I used a water based truck bed liner, It seems to have worked quite well, we'll see how it holds up. It dried hard not rubbery like some of the others I've used before.

I've a huge mess to clean up so, gotta go.

Default On my way to carpul tunnel

Well picked up after the coating thing. I couldn't wait to get started riveting the panels in place just thought I would share this with you because these are the first permanent things I have assembled to the car.

I will post more pics when they're all on.

Very interesting build but I'm interested to see how much it weighs also.

I don't have a f-n clue what it will weigh, but 300hp should move it around just fine.

im still wonderstruck with this build...

when you mount the aluminum panels, do you set them in a PU sealer as well as rivet them??
