Todd, we werent able to get that dimension today, but the t-56 is where it was at before, almost rubbing the tunnel, so the engine cant go up any. Pretty sure everything is the right parts, we may just have to swap them for the later gen 2 stuff. Also, can you check and see if theres any mathematical difference between the ss ones and the ceramic ones i bought, the ones on the SEMA display were s/s.
I'll upgrade if i have too, i'm looking to gain an inch. would be nice and acceptable if we could acheive that, otherwise the Dynatechs were fine in my case. Somebody else looking to use this kit for an LS swap, it is a good kit, easy and well priced.

So, the subframe is stock. Only the upper shock towers have been modified to accept coil-overs, and the front g-bar mount has nothing to do with it. So that rules the modified subframe possibility out.

It is possible that you have a set of big block frame mounts instead of a small block set? I cannot remember which is which, but as I recall, there is a difference in the height of the mounts between the SBC and BBC...

I don't know if it would matter or not, but did the subframe come from a Camaro or a Firebird?

Yep bbc and Z28 are the same, 3/4" lower

Both good points. But if the t-56 is where it was within a 1/4".....the engine did move back a 1/4 to 1/2 from where it was...

above is not the case. Custom Works Performance is on a pretty small network of authorized dealer/installation centers for Hooker/Holley EFI. I have Todd's cell phone number and we have been working really hard to figure out any issue here. The frame mounts are correct, because the Hooker kit requires use of the clamshell mounts. There is no issue with fitment, and the early headers fit pretty much where they were intended to fit. Todd and I have compared pictures back and forth. We believe that there may be an issue with minor changes GM did to the chassis, and or body bushing dimensions.

So you know, I couldn't be more happy with the installation of the Hooker LS mounts, cross member, and headers. We have been selling lots of these pieces and will continue to do so. It is the best complete system out on the market, and the price is pretty fair as well. Also we will be installing the Hooker relocation brackets for the accessories on Mike's car. We will be able of offer you pictures and our feedback on how they work and fit!

There is no need for everyone to go on a lynching. Mike is very pleased with the look of his new parts. His only issue is that the gains in ground clearance have been less than what he expected. So right now Custom Works and Todd at Hooker are working together to ensure the products you get meet your expectations. I think they have a great product and I my only concern was that the headers would sit flush with the subframe like the one we saw at Sema.

I will also agree Todd is a very nice guy and I am glad you and him are trying to work this out.

Curious if any progress has been made to get your headers to match the ground clearance in the mock up photos Todd posted on my LS3 thread.

If your not worried about it and going to run them as is question then becomes, is the car driving yet or what??
