The prices at Barrett are always all over the place like they did this year. The only good thing for us here on these sites is that the Pro-Touring cars did very well for the most part like that 1969 Camaro with the 502 Ram Jet that was originally a 6cyl car. It pulled $180,000 and that is awesome news for us that build the cars it just proves that we are building cars that will hold there value better.
The Cuda was a surprise I figured it would do over a mill easy but I guess there were not two people going at it. I was right there when it went and the hype just wasnt there for it.

Seeing that car from a few feet was awesome the work was just sick and it was sad to see it go for that. BJ is killer for some cars and a huge dissapointment for others you just never know.
5 Mill for a car that will just sit seems crazy to me no matter how much money you have, you could never dirve that car and enjoy it. As the guy that bought the Cuda he will never really enjoy that car as well it will just sit and that is not what that car was built for. I have built cars that have no miles and some that are daily drivers and let me tell you the ones you drive are the fun ones. I hate building cars that people wont drive and just want to trailer everywhere.
It will be interesting to follow BJ next year and see what the trends bring, its the same thing every year guys with to much money and not enough knowledge to what they are buying. Some people got killer deals on cars and hopefully they will enjoy them.
