More exhaust clearance mainly. You can suck up the exhaust about an extra 1/2 inch.

Default Hood clearance

I'm sure you've already checked Mark, but will the EFI with air cleaner clear the stock hood or do you have other plans? It looks pretty tall!

Will fit under a stock cowl hood seeing that they are doing a similar setup to what Matt did for Tom Tomlinson's Camaro.
