I called the engine builder TWICE today ---- he probably has blocked my number now....
He told me to just run straight 40wt RedLine.... and that IF I was going to wing the motor to 7500 all the time that it should be looked at after 40 hours of engine time. I told him I was holding it to 6000 on the straight and he said - oh h*** you won't need to look at it for a long time then.
Charley made all the right choices when this was built - it's got Titanium valves, locks, and retainers... solid roller cam (.650 lift - 258*@.050 intake and 263*@.050 ext - 108 LSA)... it revs so quickly that you have to be a little careful on the gas pedal! I've had a few motors -- and this is my favorite. It's a rowdy little guy... and I love it.
