So far my Chevelle is all homebuilt with some help from friends, I think I'll source out interior and paint though.

Hi Andre ! Can you explain how you combined the C4 vette stuff with the Porsche brake setup ? I might look at something like that for my Porsche project where I'm using C5. Thanks !! Jim

Here's my latest garage build, not completely finished yet but almost there.

Being on the wrong side of the ocean, everything is home built. DIY rules big time here.

The Netherlands, where most people drive econoboxes, gas is over $8 a gallon and there are no shops or anything. I was born in the wrong country

Hey Jim,
It was all done with the help of a friend who had access to a lathe and a mill.
The calipers are six piston Brembos of a Porsche Cayenne (I think Audi Q8 and VW Toareg are the same), the calipers have mounting ears so we made a bracket to attach the calipers to the Corvette spindles, that was the easy part of the job.
The hard parts were the rotors, they are of an Audi RS4, 360mm x 32mm. When I bought them I thought they were two piece due to me seing in the pics on ebay that the center was aluminum, the two parts were molded together....
To make them fit we put the rotor in the lathe and took out the center leaving an aluminum ring, then we made a hub out of billet steel that was oversize, we froze the hub and heated the aluminum ring and pressed them together, then we bolted them together and safety wired them.

If you decide to go with them brakes I'd get some other rotors as we probably spent 20 hours to make them fit, the brakets to make the calipers fit was around 2-3 hours.

the nice thing is that it all fit (very tightly) into 18" BMW M3 rims.

let me know if you want some pics
