IMO because the stripes are red with black guns, the wheels should match for consistency to the eye. Probably woulda looked better red outers with black centers... car goes from brutal red, to satin black, to the flattish black of a tire, the two off-match blacks are right near each other... woulda been less noticeable to run the red between the two blacks. Even shining the tires up with silicon spray or tire shine stuff won't quite get it there.

Not mine tho' so YMMV All red centers are too much tho'.

Rob owns a clothing company with Travis Barker called "Rogue Status".
The main logo is the gun print. Here is the myspace page.

That might not be a bad idea to have a few different sets of wheels for the car. Of course, once the toys are created to match and it graces the magazine pages, it will probably stay how it is for publicity reasons. I liked your other ideas for the wheels, but like you said, it's Rob's car and whatever makes him happy is how it should be.

What do you think about adding a redline tire to the current wheels? It would accent the red centers, while making a distinction between the black lip and the black tires. As it stands, I think the black of the tires and the outer wheel blend into each other, making the wheels look smaller than they are.

p.s. the RS badge looks good. I was surprised there wasn't a DC badge on there, but since this is for the Rogue Status brand, the double meaning badge is really cool.

A couple looked real good. Black centers with red lips... All black with a red pinstripe on the outside of the lip...ect. All looked cool in their different respects. Rob likes it this way... so it stays.. for now. Also.. there needed to be some "flare" for the toy and magazine stuff. He is pretty good at changing things. I bet this car gets 3 different sets of wheels.

Here's a test fit with the RS badge on the rear. The red is really starting to tie together.

Bulldog...

Problem with the DC logo is.... Rogue Status is a clothing company.. and so is DC. So it wouldn't really work.

The idea of the red lips seems cool until you see it in person. Part of the cars premis is to "pop" and to do a couple out of the box things. Rob says....." Its not about being part of the game... Its about changing it." He's talking about the fact that in his neck of the woods... color matched lips, and murdered out(all black, even flat) is common and starting to get played. There are only a couple cars pushing the limit of making parts of the car "pop".

He's thinking about doing a flat royal blue 67 Fastback for his next car...
