Default 69 Z06 Camaro

Hi everyone,
My name is Jeff and I live in So Cal. It's been 20 years or so sense my last car project. I did a replica of an 037 Rally car but took time off after. About 2 years ago I got the bug again and started a Porsche 914 project. It had a LS6 and the suspension from a 996 under it. While working on it one day John (aka Driveability) was casing my area and stopped to check it out. After stopping by a couple more times he made me an offer that I decided to accept. My mind was already drifting toward a Camaro, so as John was picking up the 914 I was dropping off my new project.
The plan is a full frame with late model C6 Z06 drive-line. I've had the car for a little over a year now so I will try and get caught up to where I am currently.
Byndbad914 is how I came across this site, as he had a 914 project here but there are so many cool builds and ideas that it has become a routine for me come here.
The 037

The 914

The Camaro came with extra quarter skins and I figured I would be able to just use those and save as much of the outer shell as possible. I knew I wasn't going to use much of the original car but I really underestimated how bad this car had been tore up. Here is the car when I brought it home. Comments and suggestions are always welcome, either on the thread or PM.

And my Orange Coolaide because I see some people here ride.

Jeff

I like your style Jeff. That body isn't so bad, we've all seen worse. It's a perfect starting point for the style of build you're going for. Looks like fun, and so do those previous projects. That's a sweet bike too. Good luck with the project, I'm looking forward to future progress.

Great job on the Camaro, but I really love the 914. Do you have a link to where I can see more pictures of that build?

Andrew,
I did not have one going when I started it but John has a build thread here.
https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=45044
Give him a nudge on his thread and I will text him for an update. I talked to him a couple weeks ago and he was getting ready to start it.

Jeff
