As much as I like the idea of the look at me "SPS" ornament it's already ben done so may times on a first gen I'm looking for something different. Us little guys have to stick together so I know I'm in good hands with you cooking something up.

Thx guys for all the comments and Brett, always appreciate the precise attention to detail.

Aeromotive rails ship w tall and short mounting brackets. Comp Preformance (Fast 65lb injectors) could not tell me if I needed the injector extension collars or not to clear on a factory intake w the Aero rails, so I bought them just in case. I'm pretty sure if I go w a FAST 102 in the future they'll come in handy, but the Aeromotive rails will probably be useless.

Betcha Gregg knows the answer to that...

Geeze Ron I was trying to send your thread way off course like DGs and you reeled it back in.

What led you to use the FAST injectors and Aeromotive rail if it was an unknown combo?

The motor is starting to get that, I'm done, look it has to be exciting to be so close.

That was exactly a page out of Gordon's playbook. He's so predictable that his thumbprint transcends other people's threads and comments...

Yeah, hate to admit it but that was a F up. QMP spec'd the injector flow rate for the motor build. I had Fast rails in anticipation of a future intake upgrade, but they don't work on factory LS7 manifolds (injector angle is different). Comp told me the rails would work and based on their advice the injectors needed the spacers. Unfortunatley that didn't work either. Once i proved it to them they sent me a box to ship it back for credit. They were pretty cool about it, just another one of those hot roddin' PITA moments....

Well that's typical of our hobby and a better story than "The Aeromotive rails are more showtouring"

Without modifying/fabricating the brackets, the Aeromotive LS7 rails won't work with the FAST LSX-R intake for the LS7. I think Katech and others have made those modifications.

As for the spacers, you should not need those in either situation if you stay with the shorter injector and the same basic rail height.
