No the entire thing is custom. He likes doing the rear like that because it appears more custom and tucks up even further. Cage was built for this car by GAP.

Tim at GAP is talking about making it a "kit" so it can be finished by a local shop and just mail out the components ready to tig into the car. He's using the car as a mock up I believe.

Also, seats will be covered in leather and houndstooth to look like factory seats. Want the interior to look completely stock. Goal is a stock appearing car with modern technology

That's a good idea. Just wondering is that rear piece a multi piece?
While your at it may as well offer a 6 point one that completely hidden. Most folks are replacing quarter panels, roof etc.
if I could do mine over I would runn it between exterior sheet metal and interior structure. Best of both worlds all the protection while keeping it out of the way

Been a while since some updates. Car hadn't had a lot of work done the past month until recently. They knocked out a few more things on it. Finished up the cage after multiple iterations of the door bars and last minute decision to smooth the firewall a little more with a hidden wiper motor kit.

I'll be going by today, they're putting a stock seat in the car to do a check on the main hoop of the car. Rear wheel wells should be finished up (outer lip cut/welded for more clearance). Then the car goes off to the paint shop. Will ask them about schedule but hoping the paint could be finished in under 2 months.

Also got all my brake parts in for the car! Wilwood SL6/SL4 setup with Kore bracket to adapt the 9" rear to use the C6 style rear brake/parking brake setup!

GAP finished up their work and now the car is onto the paint shop.

Prior to it leaving we tried out some 345's to be sure they'd fit. PLENTY of room. (NOT my wheels, just some test pieces)

Car's front end went back on for test fitment and to begin blocking the car. First time the car has been "complete" looking in 2 years...
