So not a lot has been going on with the car. I've been getting things lined up in order to make this happen. I picked up a wrecked C5Z and dropped it off to get the frame back in check. This takes care of my fuel system, suspension mount points, some of the firewall, and trans tunnel.

While it's at the body shop I decided on Anvil carbon mirrors.

And then I started seeing if power mirror motors will fit. Going to be tight, but should work.

Last night I did some really rough mock up. And I mean really rough lol

It's going to be really really close without cutting metal

Today I built a frame jig that I could use to keep the car mobile, hold it from moving around and be able to mount brackets to help hold the new suspension in place. I still have some more body brackets to attach, but I got the harder stuff stuff done.

How are you going to mount the mirror motor to the housing? I've been working on a similar project with 4th gen motors in stock 70 camaro mirrors like what V8TV did.

I'd think that someone would offer a 2nd gen style mirror in power by now.

I don't know yet. I have a set of 5th gen mirrors I'm gonna cut up to try and make it a bolt together deal.

This is going to be interesting watching this go together. I love the mirrors in Carbon fiber. I hope it works out.
