Lets Get this one out of the way first. A deal I couldn't pass up two Volvo Penta engines at 300 hp each with twin stainless steel props. You name it it has it including on board 5000KW generator, battery charger, all the way up to ice maker and air conditioning and heat. Need I say more

63 SS Nova with Heidts Front clip, Currie 9", small block 350 with TH350 trans. Great driver and doesn't leak a drop of oil. Real fun daily driver. Interior all original and cherry

That was a short introduction of what I've been up to and there's been a lot I left out including some cool vehicles I have picked up for my kids but what I think some of you guys might be more interested is the new brake set up I'm working on for the race/track car.
As you know Baer and Wilwood have some great bolt on brake kits for stock spindles but those systems will not be enough for my set up. I went through Sutton but he had nothing available for 17" wheels and stock spindles so I started to do my home work.
The bolt on systems I came across all had a max piston bore area of 4.04" even with their 6 piston kits. IMO not near enough for what I needed. I noticed wildwood had a 4 piston caliper with a 5.18 piston bore area. I gave them a call and we went to work on putting together a system that would work for me. A difficult task? Not even.
The radial mount bracket is the same they use for their typical kit applications only difference being the width of the roter. Bolt on kits have a 1.1" rotor to where the bigger piston bore area calipers have a 1.25" mimimum rotor thickness. That's just .14" of difference.
In short, front calipers should be here by Monday. I ordered the whole 9 yards with hubs, bearings, seals, hats, rotors, etc, etc.
Stay tuned if your interested as I will document the install. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that just a few shims will make this a simple bolt on process.

You're just a couple of bucks from turning it into 'The Runt' by RPM part deux...
