Most of you know I've spent many many late nights and afternoons away from work trying to get my car back on the road. It's been almost 4 months since I pulled the old engine out! While swapping engine sounds simple, I can't make anything simple. I can't leave anything alone either. I'm to the point now where I'm doing over before it ever leaves the garage. If I don't like it, I start over. Anyway, here's a list of the changes I made.
- Aluminum block and all that entailed
Oil cooler and all the plumbing
Cooling system to dual pass with internal heat exchanger
A/C
Heat
Custom condensor brackets
Made all my own AC and heater hoses
Re routing two wiring harnesses underneath
Adding weatherpak connectors all over the place
Rear sway bar with custom designed brackets and hardware
Custom coil bracket
Brushed valve covers
Custom water recirc tank bracket
Brushed all A/C/Heat fitting
Added dual breather tanks and brushed them
Different valve covers
Re routed fuel lines to come in from the rear and take all 90's out at regulator
Jet extensions
Recoated headers
Changed gates clamps
Brushed the air cleaner lid(Took two ) lol
And about 50 more I can't remember
I fired her up around 4 or so. I had the timing light ready but noticed the crank pulley was wobbling badly. I couldn't of left it loose. So off comes the belt and it turns out that a couple bolts that hold the ATI balancer together were sticking out maybe .015 of an inch. I had some brake caliper shims handy and put them between the pulley and balancer and it's perfect. Once I had that fixed I cranked the idle up to about 2k and set the timing consservative. Then the cooling system belched and I topped it off. Dialed the idle down and had a 3"x3" oil puddle after about 15-20 minutes. It's leaking between my one way valve and 45. I loosened and retightened and it still leaks. Brand new earls stuff. I'll get it figured out. Other than that it sounds great.

The oil coolant temp was about 185 hot and the oil temp was 190. The heat exchanger is working perfectly.
While the engine compartment is brand new I took the chance to shoot some photos. I'll post the old engine compartment last.
