Strictly a street car as I don't feel it has enough safety features in it that would save my life if I crashed. So this
one will do the Power Tour and see a bunch of mountain bike trails.

I also have the Cayman R and the 2010 Camaro if I want to hit the track or autocross. Something about having
airbags, ABS and updated safety features that at this point in my life seem really important.

Coil Brackets (02-02-20)

So at this point I am assuming at this point that my coil brackets are upside down so I am going to flip them to see if the coils come down just a little bit to take the tension off the plug wires. If not I am going to have to remake the wire as I don't like how tight they are.

and yes that is a mountain bike tool being used on my car. Which got me thinking....

At some point the Custom Works Carbon Valve covers we be heading over to Gonzo Details for paint correction and a paint sealer.

Flipped

Well that didn't work out so it looks like we will be making new wires.

Next up is planning, neatly hiding and running wires so they will be easy to access if I need to service them.

making a new hole.

Grommet installed and I promise I will clean up the DEI Boom Matt to make it look nice.

Back to the Holley Terminator wiring and I am hoping all of my planning pays off with all of the hose routing and
wiring. Confirming the location of where I want to mount the relays. Once I feel confident I will install the "Weld Mounts"
which are a stud that are glues in with panel bond.

These are going to be fun to put the washer, lock washer and nut on.

I think this is the final.

More notes on the blue tap.

Lokar Dip Stick (02-02-20 )

Not liking the stainless look so in order to tone it down just a little I wrapped it in the High Temp Tech Flex wrap.
Being hones if I didn't already have this I would be putting in a stock dipstick.

Instead of cutting with Scissors they recommend a Hot Knife so a quick trip to Harbor Freight and $20.00 later this will work.

I used an adhesive based heat shrink so it's nice and tight and I am hoping the engine heat doesn't cause an issue. I am also
consider a factory dip stick as they work and it's already black so it will disappear when you look in the engine bay.

Well it at least looks better.

More stuff arrived.

Back out in the Garage again (02-16-20)

I was hungry so I looked in my wife's car and found some snacks

Another harness that I am going to redo...

This was the original fuel pump wire.

Time to remove and clean up the harness.

While I am here I might as well clean up the tail light harness.

Odd it doesn't look so bad on the ground...To late now

My desk for the next couple hours.

Looking better already.

Back to the Holley EFI Harness (02-20-20)

Remember the blue notes.

Since this is a ground stud I removed all of the paint and I also removed the paint from the inside of the cowl.

Good News every stud was place in the correct location + or - milometers.

The view from the back seat

Marty, that stay at home advisory is really working in your favor by getting a bunch of small detailing stuff done. I picked up some of that wire wrap to use as a conduit for wiring going from the trunk area to glovebox, keeps them nice and neat & protected.
Hey if you don't mind...... in the pics of your spark plug wires, your grommet on your firewall that feeds your main harness looks nice and snug, care to share which one you used. Thanks.
Keep up the tidy detailing!
