Picking up some more parts from D&R Classic (02-22-20)

As you can see it was a beautiful day out and I decided I would rather go for a drive then work on the car. So it was Parts run Saturday.

Then of course I went back to work on the car.

I spent a little time routing the wires a little better and securing them in place.

Removing the paint from the ground area's

Yep another note.

It's kinda funny looking at this picture as I have been searching for the brake switch. Apparently it's on the harness. (yes I am going to go look at this post)

I put the steering wheel back on so I had something to grab when I am trying to get out from under the dash.

Picked up some new stainless steel bolts for the AAW fuse box.

and a Chunky Bar (looks like I am starting a trend here)

Need to trim it to my desired length.

I have saved this little screw driver for years and it has finally has been put to use.

Since my girls are out I had to become a little creative.

pulled out another tool that I seldom use. Yep it's ratcheting.

Firmly mounted.

So everything going to the right is no longer needed so it's all going to the right for now.

Last minute I decided to go to the Muscle Car Show in Chicago/Rosemont and I picked up the cowl wiring gutter. I bought
one that was trim to fit so I could make it my desired length.

Next up. Clean up this wiring.

For the life of me I can't remember where the Pink wire goes. ;-(

I kinda like this idea.

Who new there was this much wiring in a car without power windows, power door locks or a high end stereo. Next Up the Vintage Air Harness.

More of that Tech Flex wrap

I an telling you guys you need a bike stand. I have used this more lately for my car then my bikes. The best part is I can tighten it up and push the trigger to turn on the Hot Knife.

Hey if you don't mind...... in the pics of your spark plug wires, your grommet on your firewall that feeds your main harness looks nice and snug, care to share which one you used. Thanks.
Keep up the tidy detailing!
Hi Simon,

The good news or should I say great news is I am still working but my hours have been cut back to about 40 hours a week which is a nice change. I should also add I don't sleep much.

Here is the info on the grommet.

Pink wire went to the distributor?

Looking good, Marty. Think the car will be back on the road this year?

Thank you and the car didn't have a distributor but is did have a MSD box for the Carb set up. So maybe it went to that, I just don't remember. Looks like I am going to have to look back at pictures and see if I can figure it out.

maybe it's for the AC Compressor ?

Will it be back on the road this summer ?? I sure the heck hope so as I was originally shooting for the Power Tour in May and now that it's moved out to the end of August I should have plenty of time to get it running again and get all of the bugs worked out before we hit the road.

Loving the attention to detail and little upgrades.

I'll be curious to hear about your impressions with the Terminator X system compared to what you had before. I have loved mine since I installed it with a similar manifold/throttle body as you have now.

One thing to note, you are going to have high intake air temps with the filter in that location. My filter is right off the intake just like yours and I see ~75* in the morning when I drive to work and it is in the 20's outside, and ~120*+ when it warms up to the 70's. So around a +50* change over the ambient temperature pulling air from through the radiator. I have been driving with it that way for a year and a half but definitely something I plan to remedy soon.

I’m looking forward to the new set up and hoping everything works.

I am also planning to do a Carbon Fiber intake tube similar to this.
