Glad to hear you're home, In the new home and back to working on the car. Killer build and I am looking forward to seeing more.

No cool pictures this time but car is at exhaust and I have the rest of my interior as well as brakes and door glass ordered. So hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks we will be ready for first fire up and a few weeks after that, first drive!

Just skimmed your build looked at all the pics, great parts and attention to detail,

I did the same thing you did, built my shop in 14' and then moved to Virginia for 5 years, barely touching the car, moved back a year ago and been hard at it this year,

Thanks! It feels good to know that every part I need to finish is either in my shop or on its way. I'm ready to finish so I can start the next project

Figured I would post up a few pictures. Exhaust is done. I probably should have stuck with 2.5" to leave a little more room for clearance but I think I will be ok.






My Anvil door sills arrived as well




I also started working on the door glass. Not a fun process. I found some great videos on youtube though and they have helped a ton. Hope to actually get some door glass in soon.



And I finally got my brakes ordered. I was dead set on running 6 piston Baer brakes but unfortunately my wheel specs, spindle and clearance won't allow for it. Its a long story, but my only option was to either rehoop my front wheels (800 a piece) and use my ATS spindles and Baer Brakes. Or I can go with Wilwood using stock spindle. Even the Wilwood are going to require me to switch over to a taller Forgeline center cap in order to clear the hub dust cap. In short, the pad on my wheels were machined down to have a deeper offset, this killed the caliper and hub clearance..live and learn. Good news is I can still run 14" rotors with the Wilwood, so I am sure it will stop just fine lol.

My Wegner front drive setup also arrived. The water pump came in just as a stock cast LS2 water pump so I spent a little time with the dremel before painting the water pump. I also pulled the barbs for the heater hoses and tapped those for AN fittings. Last you will see the inlet/outlet are setup with -20 AN fittings to match my Autorad radiator.


And also some pictures of the front drive system in place. Only thing not installed is the ATI damper and crank pulley but those will be going on soon.







And I will close with some overall shots of the engine bay. I went ahead and installed the driver side fender and inner fender so I can start figuring out how to the plumb everything in this car. Pretty much everything is being done in AN hoses and AN Fittings and hardline so I expect this phase to take me quite a while to complete. Thanks for looking!

nice build!is it just the angle of the picture but is engine way forward,large gap off firewall?regards

Must just be the angle. Its not that far off the firewall. This was early on too, I may not have had everything in the right place.
