So, just a little insite on what Vince is talking about. The roll center on the stock subframes on first gen Camaro's is 2" below ground. Optimum would be 2" above ground. Vince is going to model a subframe with correct geometry on his computer software and we will rebuild accordingly. After Buttonwillow this year we will be modifying my front stock subframe. We will be modifying the attachment points of the control arms, going to a coil over shock, work on recessing an adjustable front sway bar into the underside of the subframe, and then possibly recessing the modified stock subframe into the car approximately 2".
That will definitely be a piece of the puzzle Greg, at least for the upper arms, but I've heard that the lower arms get raised upward 3/4" and outward 3/4". I'd like to see this all drawn up and explained to me. In addition I think that this will be a pretty cool little educational project during the off season..

In the mean time...After my last Thunderhill track day in April I changed my front alignment settings and raised my rear roll center by raising the watts pivot. I couldn't wait till July 1st for my next track day so I will be heading back to Thunderhill on May 19th. Target lap times to be in the 2:04's which means I will need to shave at least 2.5 seconds off of a best 2:07.4 last time out.
Oh, and the LS Vince posted, dont believe it.

Sounds like an awesome plan! And that lexan + decklid are going to be sweet...but I thought it's to offset the weight of a subwoofer?
Thanks Sieg, I've scrolled over Dave's stuff quite a few times. I'm pretty sure we will be doing the Guldstrand mod but who knows what else Vince has up his sleeve. 7 months is a lot of time to get ourselves into trouble.

Thanks Steven. The cool thing is that I will be putting it to the test so we will know for sure what kind of benefeits these changes will make by comparing to this years lap times.

Figured you had that bible, just making sure. I'm watching this very closely as I'm leaning towards a stock subframe, aftermarket arms, coil-overs, and splined bar also.

Yes Jon, I know you've already done this so I will most likely be in touch with you for info when the time comes. 
And that lexan + decklid are going to be sweet...but I thought it's to offset the weight of a subwoofer?
