I did not see the car so I am just going from what people say here, my point was if there are gaps that is bad, if they are not there than yes its a bad ass car.

Thank you very much. I am very happy it's back together. Kenny, Stan, Travis and Kenny Sr had a busy weekend the Saturday before the show. The truck front end was apart and the engine, radiator and a bunch of stuff didn't get back on till Wednesday. The guys wanted to make sure the truck was at the show so people could see it.

So Kudo's to them for working there Day Jobs and then spending all night getting the truck back together

It was awesome walking into the show and running into it in the parking lot.

^^^What he said. Like I said before, the gaps are pretty tight, and the rear door/quarter gap is show car tight, with no chipping - after evidently being thoroughly wrung out (judging from company history and pics posted).

I was asking if the slightly wider gap at the top is what he was referring to, not pointing it out as bad. He didn't specify what he thought was wrong. I posted the pic again so everyone could see, here in the middle of the discussion, what the car looked like. I wish I would have taken the pic of what I saw when I went back to look at the gaps, after the first discussion here. Would definitely have been worth a thousand words here.

THE OWNER OF THE OTHER 69 CAMARO, WITH THE BAD GAPS I didn't want to defend my car but I feel I need to. First, I built this car in my garage by myself on nights and weekends with the sole intention of selling it. When I arrived at G.G. and parked in the upper lot a G.G. rep told me to bring the car down to the SMOY lot. I knew I couldn't compete and didn't want to compete with these cars but knew it would be good exposure to help sell it. I didn't know that anyone would have the time to take measurements, write them down and then go home and post them on the forum. I know I have some gaps that I need address. In the final assembly I could not duplicate from the first mock up. As far as the other cars go in my opinion there were some amazing builds there. Good luck with your car gaps AJ.

I know, I know, it's none of my business and I have no right sticking my nose in it - but I just had to see what the Rad Rides F87 would look like with a little less glass. Since it uses 2010 Camaro tail lights, door handle styling, etc, I brought the glass to body ratio closer to that car's...


No disrespect to Troy or his crew intended. He's one of my top three favorite builders, and I have nothing but respect for the guy and his shop. Just having a little fun with Photoshop. I went back and took this picture Sunday just so I could do this. It was bugging me all night Saturday.

I have not seen Mikes 69 but I've seen enough DSE builds to know they build them to a very high level. I also have seen SMOTY winning cars before and after being driven, and the gaps and panel flatness changes when you drive a car.

Mike had his Camaro out at the Motorstate Challenge running all out that weekend. He gets a ton of credit in my book for thrashing on such a high end car.
