Blue wheels are the classic/original look. Can't go wrong either way. But, I'd opt for black wheels if it were my car.

Blue painted wheels were for the more 'optioned' cars. Black was for the bare bones models.
Since this one is a 'less is more' exercise, Satin Black would be my go-to.

Since the majority went black I’d go the opposite.
Body color, maybe Dutch Boys can do some patina on them?

Blue looks good with 15" wheels, but when you get more wheel and less side wall i would stick with black to hide the skinny side wall. Roadster shop was able to pull it off with this build although the front side wall looks a little skinny. I believe they are using at least a 19" in the rear. I've always liked an 18' front 19" rear stagger look for the 69

I would be worried about matching the blue closely enough that it wouldn't be obvious. But I do like the blue idea. Tough call - look forward to seeing which path you choose.
