It still has modified stock steering. It has a 16:1 box from a 67 mustang and a 2:1 inline quickener.

I am adding power steering now with a KRC pump.

THanks tyler. not bad for a home build. Hopefully I will finish it someday. I have two copies that the wife is going to put in a frame so I can put it in the garage.

Hope to run into you at SEMA.

Random question, but I'm having this discussion with Mike Maier and were trying to figure outa couple things

1) Does the 65 Falcon have the same shock tower height at the 65-66 Mustang?

2) The lower control arms are the same, but how about the uppers?

3) Is the wheel base 109.5 inches or is it shorter?

THanks

Mike is good people!

1) same shock towers, but different lateral seperation. THe shock towers are closer to the fire wall and the hood sits higher relative to the shock towers as well. The upper shock mounts are different too.

2) all suspension is the same except for the centerlink.

3) yep, 109.5.

BTW, I have a 65 mustang and 65 ranchero in the stable if you have other questions. THe cars a really different, even though they are based on teh same 1960 falcon chassis.

Mike is good people, more people shoud be running his equipment. He's making strides in the coolness factor when it comes to parts. Im lucky enough to be a close friend as well as living within 1/2 mile of him...

When you say different shock mounts, how so? bolt spacing/configuration?

Hes trying to talk me into a Mustang where I want a Falcon. Were trying to figure out how much of his stuff will fit on the front end.

Are you or mike going to be at SEMA?

If so call me, I would like to chat with you guys. 858 472 3873.

Basically all your mustang suspension will bolt on to a falcon. Steering is a different story. However, the geometry will need to be adjusted do the frame rails being closer together on a falcon.
