Facebook Edition:
Saturday morning, my buddy Dale and I hit the road for 750 miles across the AZ/CA desert, visiting Hotchkis Performance, and cruising the PCH up to Monterey, CA. Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was the final destination where Speed Ventures set up an open track day. It's clear why MRLS is one of the most famous tracks in the country - not a single boring corner, breathtaking elevation changes, and beautiful scenery. After 4 sessions, I whittled my time down to the 1:56.1 range. On Monday, we shot straight through the desert back to Phoenix. All of this in my '67 Camaro pulling a small trailer without air conditioning. It did not have a single mechanical problem all weekend, and many of the towns we drove through had highs of 115+. Don't let anyone tell you old cars can't be reliable. Pics/vids to come shortly.
