Big Red is ingrained into me since I was 17 when it set the world on fire at Silver State. To this day the original car is still my favorite of all 69 Camaros.

I couldn't agree more. Great show. The rumple strip on the center divide sure adds a new level of complexity!

Default Loved it!!!

The first time I saw Big Red in Hot Rod magazine I was hooked. Loved the fact that the "supercars" of the late 1980's had their doors blown off by a young racer in a bad ass 1969 Camaro with a crazy fast engine and the ability to use them as they were designed, to go wicked fast. Unlimited fast. Typical, they changed the rules of the race after RJ and Big Red embarrassed them.

I'm so amazed that a car that was a pathfinder of the sport known as "Pro Touring" is still spanking and putting the hurt on cars that have been give the title "supercars" 30 years later.

RJ, you are the MAN!!
Big Red, it is the MACHINE!!

Race On!!

Can't wait for next week's episode

Its channel 220 on direct tv. I set my dvr to record the series. The first time I saw a 69 Camaro, I wanted one. I remember reading about Big Red in high school. and wanting one even more.

All I have to say is running a 69 Camaro at 220 mph plus is just insane. RJ, the crew, and Big Red are just awesome. Can't wait for the next show.

Very well done feature IMO.

FWIW - Seeing Big Red's performance in the '89 Silver State and all the well deserved hype that followed was what drove me to finally buy a '69 Camaro that year. The desire started in 1975 at high school when a friend bought a clean '69 Z/28. After about the third good ride in his car I wanted one bad, it didn't help that he was dating my next door neighbor when he first bought the car........the rest is history.

I was able to finally watch the show after recording it on the DVR.
Great show and I'm already wanting more! I wasn't ready to stop watching. The show was definitely done the right way. Looking forward to the next episode!
