Yeah, that is the only thing I cant stand about the early 60s F100's. The owner wants to keep it looking like it is still a '63 (its a sentimental thing) but I have some tricks in mind to get the bed to look like it belongs with the rest of the truck! I'm going to use sections of the existing bed but the rest will be handmade.

The cab came out very nice! Minor rust in one cab corner, and front floor pans/front inner rockers.









Time to start the custom built chassis!!

What did you use to strip it like that? First photo looks like you might have used some chemical striper and just clean up real good before shooting the photo...

I get the majority of the paint off with several coats of aircraft remover and a scrapper/wire brush, then I go over all of the sheet metal with 180 on a DA.

No, unfortunately I don't. I was on vacation in the Bahamas and my phone wasn't working over there so, I wasn't even carrying it. I wish I had pics of it. It was very nice.
