Is a rebuild better than buying aftermarket hinges? I have had good luck with the complete hinges.

Default Rebuild for me

After researching a ton on other forums, I sent my 67 Camaro factory hinges off to be rebuilt. If you google search HoodHingeRepair you'll find the shop I used in Virginia. Pretty decent turn around time, and the finished product looked good. I haven't rehung the doors, so I can't vouch for use or longevity.

I heard the home rebuild kits don't last long, and I didn't want to hang and gap doors that might sag or fail prematurely.

The service wasn't cheap, but I think it's worth it IMHO.

I had them do our 66 nova hood hinges and they came back great. They were even extra careful because mine were already ceramic coated (they got sent to coaters before I knew they were in need of new pins) and they didn't damage the coating
