If you're building a car that will see primarily street ... and operate in the 2000-3500 rpm most of it's life ... and operate above 4000, up to 7000 a couple times a year ... I'd suggest Mast or Lingenfelter. They will work great & cost you less.
If you're building or running a car that will autocross 10+ times a year ... and/or run on track days 10+ times a year, where it will see 2000-7000 rpm a lot ... a whole lot ... I'd recommend one of my engines.
My engines cost more than Mast & Lingenfelter, because we build them with better, stronger & more expensive parts throughout. We build them to handle high rpms & hard use weekend after weekend & live. If you want to read why & how our engines are built to shine in autocross & track days, read HERE.
Thanks & take care !

I have run Mast Motorsports engines in two of my cars with great success.
My C5 Z06 has their Black Label 427 that makes 687 HP and revs to 7200 RPM with ease. Tons of power from 3000 - 7200 rpm. This is a full time autocross and road course car for the past 2 1/2 years.
My 1973 Camaro has a 416 LS3 that makes 611 HP that I run to 7200 RPM. I have run this motor since 2010 and never been apart. This car has over 1500 hard driven autocross and road course miles on it. That is 7 years of autocross and road course events. The engine runs perfect.
These Mast Motorsports engines are far more than a part time autocross engine.
