The front subframe is out and over here:



I have a 6 point cage in the car, tied into the rear frame rails in the trunk and the welded in DSE frame connectors, and to a plate on the floor up front by the kick panels. The front subframe and frame connectors bolt together with 6 bolts as I wanted to keep the subframe removeable.

wow man thats gonna be a clean clean car when your done. i got a couple questions for you tho...
on your LT1, does it have the gear for the distrubitor on the cam? or did you order the cam that way...?

as for bolting a 4L80E to the LT1, will anyone bolt up to it? or did you have to get one out of a pre-LS1 truck?

any way that car is gonna be K-I-L-L-E-R...

Nice! Are you going to be around this weekend? I want to come up and test how well drool rolls off of it.

I think Pasqual may be getting a certain 69 Chevelle to work on later this year...

The LT1's have a dist gear on the cams just like a regular small block; they use the gear to drive the oil pump with a little stub shaft bolted under the intake manifold.

The trans is a standard Chevy V8 bellhousing.
