The ride is not that harsh, the sperical bearings ride in a polymer race, so that contains some of the harshness. It DOES transfer more vibration that the stock suspension, but it is not out of hand.
The Polymer race also cuts down on the noise as compared to a rod-end type 4-link. There should be no random movement, rattling, etc. so noise is really not a problem.
Life expectancy is very good, the pivot ball ends are contained by a threaded retaining ring that is both greasable and adjustable, so if you do experience wear, you can just tighten the ring a 1/4 turn (or whatever is needed) adn be on your way. Worst case scenario, if you wear it out, it is easily rebuilt.
