A Windsor is not going to sound anything like an LS with the same muffler.

Yep totally understand that. Just worried about the pitch and drone. Iam leaning towards black widow. Borla is a little too loud and Magna flow is too quiet I think but we will see tomorrow at the muffler shop I'll hear the MF mufflers he's a dealer for them.
Thanks for the help

I had 3" Flowmasters, and they were Racecar loud!! Inside and outside. I have put on Dynomax Super Turbos, and MUCH better, much nicer sound but still noisy when you push the go-pedal. Very nice sound I think, a bit "beefy" sound, some drone, but like an Cadillac compared to the Flowmasters..

I think that big cubes, cam and compression, is hard to keep noise down with 3" exhaust or just 2 mufflers.

I'm running these "mufflers".... haven't heard it yet but can't wait. Getting close.

437 cubes
13:1 compression
264/274 @ .050 cam

Should make some noise.

Another point is what is loud or obnoxious to one might be sweet sweet music to another.

I had a set of Flowmaster 50 series on my 1968 Mustang Convertible. They sounded fine but the drone killed me. I got rid of them and went to a set of Magnaflow mufflers. They soud quite a bit louder but nice. They have a raspy sound to them when you get into it. My car has a supercharged 333 SBF. I like them but my wife says they are too loud and can hear me from a mile away when I come home.

They make earplugs for that I think.

Discussions like this one is kinda like asking what color lipstick, or nail polish looks best on a chick. There's just too many opinions to gather for usable data.

I use Flowmaster mufflers. Yeah, they drone, but I like the sound otherwise. Bought my first set in 91' which was before some guys on here were born. I'm old school, and I use what works for me. The last two builds in my shop for others, not me...one had Magnaflow, and one went with Summit turbo mufflers. I say, run what YOU like.
