I've used both cheap and quality spot weld cutters . The secret with the cheaper ones aren't center punching the old weld first it's drill a 1/8 hole the pin will sit in there better . Giving less chance of the cutter walking on you and breaking . This is why the better quality ones have this feature. Or the cheapest is just grab a bunch of 3/8 drill bits and go to town .

We use both methods at my shop . The belt works great I like to drill them but if you have a MATCO tool distributor around I prefer there brand over the Blair. They seem to last much longer.
