I'm running 325 in the rear and 275 in the front of my 1967 Firebird; it was really a tight squeeze. I ended up having to raise the entire car up about 1" from where I originally wanted it, so I could get the required clearance. Also had to trim some of the inside lip in the front fenders to give it more breathing room.

If I remember right about 5+ years ago when mike had the torques thrust M's on ol'blue with rolled lips, he had a 265 square on that car.

Really Nick don't get too discouraged, if you look at the falken website the 275 is only .10" wider then the 265.

Those actually are PSE wheels... same stuff we deal with on the Unique Performance builds. Phil Schmidt Engineering... he was bought out by Vintage wheel works and they are building them now.

The wheel link you posted up looks like the American Racing modern version of these PSE wheels... see how the edges of the face are straight and smooth? The PSE wheels are a rough cast.

Nik, this isn't menat to be a slam on you - I'm the same way about having to get a 275 instead of a 265. If you back off and think objectively, the amount of effort you're putting into getting an extra .4" really doesn't make sense. From a subjective point of view, we'll move heaven and earth to get it done.

If your looking to stay leafs you can look into this. DSE is running 315's i believe.
