I have a client who owns one of those Ariel cars and decided to give me a ride in it. Not a car for commuting, that's for sure. A pretty wild ride none the less. Looks like you had a great time shooting cars Steve. Those Ring Bros mustangs are just killer.

It was fun playing phone tag with you.. we need to hit a smaller event when your car is done. I was there four days and I feel like I saw so little with all the running back and forth.

The Ring Bros car was sweet.. it will be nice to see what they come up with for a Camaro.

And I want an Ariel car so bad, how much are they??

My car is almost finished. Just a few days of tuning and waiting for my wheels. The Ariel is pretty cheap, 30k or so, but you really need goggles to be in the car. I have good wrap around glasses and the wind was just awful in my eyes. I found the car enjoyable to a certain extent, but it's just not a car that you would want to drive everyday. It is a cool car though. The thing with the Ariel, not all of them are legal for the streets, I guess from what I was told, only some at this point are legal. The one my buddy/client has is the hoped up 300hp version. 2 big guys would have a rough time fitting into one as the seats are right next to each other. I do want to come down on a weekend that the weather is good. As soon as the car is squared away Ill come down.

If you get it done by December 2nd there's a good show at John Force's race center.

The Ariel would be fun if I had $30k to toss about. Would be a blast at open track day

at 527ci it swings a 4.5 stroke crankshaft. The builder told me the block would accept a 5 in stroke crank that would make it 580ci

I cannot describe how smart this guy was.....it was cool as hell to talk to him.
