Great car Rich! I'm sure there are a few mods to help turn the boost up, and get rid of the CATS! The Supra's picked up 100hp by getting rid of the cats and turning the boost up a couple of psi.

The 335's are a little faster than the old M3, a buddy of mine in an automatic 335 raced another buddy in a m3 with the smg and the 335 edged out the m3, the torque from the turbo motor rules. the aftermarket already has a piggy back controller that is supposed to give antother 85 hp and i think 85 ftlbs.

I'm not sure what it is but the trans is the only thing I haven't grown accustomed to. It's the 6spd auto but the shift feel is like an electronically shifted manual trans (for lack of a better description) vs. a *traditional* auto transmission.
also the 330d turbo diesel should be out in the fall of next year and it is supposed to have like 280 hp and 400+ ftlbs its supposed to be almost as fast as the 335's

pull the shifter to the left into the "sport" gate and it will shift quicker. they work pretty good. in normal mode they are just trying to make it shift as smooth as possible.

I opted for the auto trans with paddle shifters. Living in the SF bay area it's nicee having the auto. I took it out last night and sat in traffic for 15 minutes on my way to dinner, glad I wasn't riding the clutch.

The brakes are outrageous. even the slightest tap has the nose down fast.
My brother said I was having a mid life crisis, owning a new BMW and a $125k G-machine.
You should have seen the look on his face when I told him I was considering buying Cessna turbo skylane in february.

A man can never have enough toys, right fellas!

Never enough toys, but good choice with the auto(didn't think I would ever hear myself say that) as they feel faster than the sticks, the turbo doesn't unspool, just keeps on a boostin

Brad

its basically the same car... just a 100 pounds lighter. nothing substantial.

a company called Vishnu Tuning released a chip and a few parts that make those 335 pretty damn fast though.. check it out:
