Well we made it, Dale finished installing his Carbon Insrument panel (which he made) with SW gauges at 2:30 am friday am, then Dale drove it 400 miles to St Paul MN with me following in Cadillac Attack.
We had an oil leak, which made a mess but we fixed, and the fuel pump took a crap while in St Paul also replaced on site.
Y Gen 3rd Gen was on display in the Flowmaster booth and was announced several times by the event's host.
We heard loads of positive feedback. Dale felt like a Rock Star.
The clearcoated carbon wing is functional and adjustable.
The 6.6 liter engine Dale built does have 702hp on Nos.
The car was built because Dale prefers V8 performance, even after a lot of seat time in my 12 second Mitsu Evo 8, (and 'cause Andrew B wanted to get rid of the TA). We also wanted to break some new ground in showing a young "Y gen" kid's idea of a bitchin V8 powered car, we recieved a lot of support for the project as it shows what can be done with a budget = to a new Cavalier, Civic, etc. and could potentially sway some other kids to this market. If you bought every part, horse traded on ebay like we did, you could duplicate the car for $15,000.
This car was built over a 2 year period in our home garage, now that we have a shop, we did bring it here to finish up the last minute details.
There were 4589 registered cars.
Dale won the Young Participant award.
After several weeks of thrashing to get it done he made me feel real

proud.
Thanks
