November 27 2006 - Car is back from the body shop with a clean engine bay. Engine has been rebuilt and is ready for mock up in the car so Mikey can start doing what he does best... Fabbing stuff!

I think I forgot to mention that we installed a 8.5:1 head spacer for more boost! If you look closely, you can see it in this pic. You can also see the external oil cooler fitting.

January 2007 - I decided that I wanted to try and make the engine bay a lot less cluttered. So I commissioned Mikey to make me a Short Runner Intake so that the intercooler plumbing would be simpler and neater. Along with the MMP Phenolic spacer this will help keep intake temps down as well.

As usual his work is art. He truly has a gift in handling metal.

Custom MMP Scribed Fuel Rail Mounting Tabs

Once I tore down the car and saw all the wiring mess the stereo installed left me, I was determined to get rid of all the electrical tape, hockey stick tape, and 'butt' connectors. I proceeded to strip out every harness out of the car and redo it by using proper soldering techniques with heat shrink and then using TekFlex and special heat resistant Mil Spec tape. This was a very pain staking process, but again I say, "Do it right, or don't do it at all!". I can now sleep at night knowing that everything has been done properly and will last the lifetime of the car. Here are the results:

Here is another one of Mikey's ingenious little touches.

March 2007 - Next came the mockup of the intercooler. It is a Garrett 3.25" Core. As you can see it is pretty big.

Another thing I was working on in the background was my wheels. I took the Kodiak lips off, had them re polished, had the barrels bead blasted and powder coated black. I bought new bolts, BBS Polished caps with Carbon Fiber centers and reassembled them and mounted Falken R Compound tires.

Please excuse the next round of pics, they are from my cel phone and are the only ones I have.

April 2007 - Final mockup and turbo plumbing. We coated the intercooler with the Thermal Dispersant to aid with the cooling capabilities. It also gives my car a very stealth look which I Love. Again please excuse the quality of the pictures. They are all I have from this stage.

Here is another thing that was going on in the background. Unfortunately I only have pics of the completed product. Again another work of art by Mikey.
