A stripe would work, just not that stripe. Leave it off. Cool car.

The reason why there was even an attempt made at a side stripe is because Ty had made a comment that there was a lot of blank space between the wheel and the edge of the nose after the side marker was removed. That stripe is one way to resolve that.

The original concept actually had that bottom part extending through the wheel well and terminating right before the door. Ty wanted to keep the stock fender vent so I truncated it before the wheel....making it a little too much like a SS Camaro stripe. I think with some refinement it could work well and it's something different on a Firebird. Personally, the only factory stripe I thought ever looked good on a Firebird is the center TA stripe that leads into the shaker hood. The twin "rally" hood stripe thing is almost like the default stripe, kinda tired of seeing that. All the factory side stripes that came on them don't really do much for the car either.

I actually voted for no stripe.

I agree.

The stripe in this case gives it more attitude. If you're not certain, maybe go with a more subtle stripe. In my case, I would like a stripe, but will likely go with a color that will not be so noticeable or maybe even ghost stripes. Although, that probably won't work with your color scenario?

Stripe or no stripe, your car looks awesome.

Personally I like the idea of a stripe, maybe this one just needs to be fine-tuned.
