It wasn't at Pleasanton or any other Good Guys show. You're thinking of JF Launier's phantom Chrysler wagon that was in the Great 8 but not the Ridler winner.

And as for the leather CV boots, that's what it takes to win the Ridler these days and while showy, it was built for the biggest indoor award in the Country so that's kind of the point. Wes Rydell's Ridler winning 35 Chevy had the same treatment and still sees plenty of miles.

Thanks, that is alot of coin but I think there was a past winner that had even a higher build cost. I don't get it but I suspect my tax bracket has something to do with that LOL. Who knows maybe 1.2 mil for the owner is like me having a $100 in my pocket.

I am guessing it doesn't sell right now.

Personally, while its an extremely well thought out and put together car, it's not my cup of tea so to speak. For me to shell out that kind of coin I would have to love the over all look of the car, which I don't. I think the group of people that this will appeal to is small and the ones who could pay for it are probably fewer.

While it is unique and different and that's why it wins awards, I think that will also make it harder to sell.

The same collector who bought "Lowla" the 48 Buick that Tim built was going to buy this as well as a few other of Tim's cars, all top dollar. The Buick was air-freighted over to Dubai to start the collection off. Sadly, he and 6 others were killed in a private helicopter crash on the Arab Peninsula.
