Default 1948 Studebaker - Project "Billie"

This is our newest project... it is a 48 Studebaker that we picked up because the last owner didn't like the "mileage" it was getting. We have just about completed the air ride. I still need to replace the floors and firewall and do the new dash. We pulled the 283 out and decided to keep it "old school". We have rebuilt it and spent more money on the tired old little motor than something new, but oh well... it should have "the look". The interior will be red leather, the frame detailed, smoothed, powdercoated and chromed, but the exterior paint is staying.

Thanks for looking!

Drove it home and threw some wheels on it...

Nice!! I dig the lettering on the door. It looks killer laid out and i can't wait to see it with the bed on it tucking half the wheel!

I love the old Studebaker trucks. That is looking awesome. Great choice on the wheels too. Got any picks of the front suspension?

We are doing same thing on our truck but are going to have to attempt to Patina Paint it to look old. Frame, drivetrain etc will be smoothed cleaned up as well.Looks awesome!
