We were told in Feb that they were not selling for the back stretch. Not enough interest for the hot July race and the economy came into play. The sport has been commericialized and no true competition. Though the final lap was interesting.

NHRA is in even worse shape,their knee-jerk reaction to Scott Kalitta's death to run 1,000' has killed fan interest and sponsors are dropping like flies.
Totally lost my interest...and I used to be a huge fan.
