The diesel grade oils are supposed to have more of the better additives than regular "gas" oils, although they are reduced from what they used to be.

I was kidding about the Wally World oil. I run Valvoline VR1 20w50 racing oil when it's above say 70 degrees and will go to a lighter weight in the cooler months.

You're preaching to the choir. It's going to be 112 here Friday! My car is in hibernation. I'm going to be hanging out at the pool or lake drinking and ice cold beer on Friday instead of driving my car. Not all bad.

Actually it does make a huge difference buuuuuutttt 112 is just ridiculous. 100 doesn't phase me anymore.
