Bids haven't budged in a couple of days and with less than 24hrs. left and reserve not met yet, doubtful it will sell.

Unfortunatly I got ill on Thursday which left me home the whole day, and Friday as well. As luck would have it, I fell upon this paticular episode of Overhaulin. The car was given to him by his dad--the guy was ruined when it appeared to be stolen---he said he would never sell--that he would be buried in the car.

Maybe they had kids--lost a job, divorce--or maybe an offer they couldn't refuse, etc. I will say this, the car really looked nice on the episode--it sat lower for sure--it looks terrible in these pics.

Last thing, this company--Moto Exotica--I bought a 69 RS from the owner there about 4 years ago---terrible experience--car was completely misrepresented---I sold it 1 year later at an 8k loss--coulda been worse I know--would never buy from him again. I am laughing at an appraised value of 270k---

The appraisal is absolutely ridiculous and now with little more than an hour to go, bids have still not moved.
I usually like what Foose does to modify cars but this one doesn't do it for me.

If I'm not mistaken this car was at SEMA and actually looks better in person.

I know one of the first vehicles done on overhaulin was in an auction this weekend (the rescue truck). Last year the same auction had the model A that was on the show that started out with a mazda motor in it and that thing was awesome.

Okay normally I wouldn't come in here and say anything but......REALLY.....NO REALLY?? I am curious to what the reserve was on the car? I know Chip built it and all but again........REALLY $295k appraisal? Okay this isn't the Ridler or anything like that I mean okay $60k MAYBE. Oh and the part about "I will never sell it, I will be buried in it" okay maybe hard times have hit him if that was the case wouldn't you want to offer the highest bidder a chance at saying hey I am asking this if you can get close enough it is yours "CAUSE I NEED THE MONEY" not because it has Chips name on the build so I know I can get me a small fortune price tag on it! Ughhhhhhhhh

Default Cruise weekend

I seen this car at the Daytona Cruise with my buddies. I could not believe this was a Foose built car. Fit and finish was......well, lets just say that it's aged pretty quick. I believe the couple were packing up to leave, when his wife jumped into the passenger side and closed the door. A loud and nasty klunk came from the mis-aligned door that, guaranteed , left people scratching their heads in disbelief.

Well the $43K "high bid" on eBay says it all...

I was at the Grand National Roadster Show one year when they had maybe 6 or 8 of these "Overhaulin" builds -- and to say I was shocked at the crap quality is an understatement. Both my Brother in Law and I said - jokingly - that if they took our junky POS and then turned it into one of these - we'd be PO'D big time!!

One can argue "taste" and "refinement" and wheel choice til the cows come home - but QUALITY is not arguable - it's either a quality build or it isn't - and from what I've seen -- the Foose Overhaulin stuff falls squarely in a bucket O' Poo.... It is a TV show after all - "entertainment"... is what they're selling - not Riddler builds...

I don't even watch it - after seeing it once or twice - it's just a thrash - and Ads for vendors. You're not going to learn anything.

Well sure they did Josh -- or people would be mad as h... And since we're all so PC these days - who would dare to mumble such harsh criticism in the first place right? Who would be so ungrateful. They only have to pay the taxes on the "gift"... and they have a way better car than they started out with or most likely could ever build. They should be happy.... but when you go to sell OTHER PEOPLE will look at it differently - and then it is what it is... a mediocre build. That's not to say the "idea" isn't grand and all that...

You no Greg normally I would agree with you ! You know I love you man(not in that way) but I have to say I have seen a couple of those cars ,the 67 GTO and the convertible GTX and they looked pretty damn nice. Now that was a couple of years ago I do'nt know what they look like now. I think as that show went on the cars got alot better.
