Could be. Here in the states insurance regulation is at a state level so everything varies from state to state. Did they say why?

Yes, if I was even 'thinking' about autocross or track events, not interested.

In Canada we generally use a broker for insurance, like in this case. So I had no interaction directly with Hagerty. Hagerty told my broker (a good friend into cars, and the insurance business owner) straight up... "even he is thinking about it, we are not interested, not open for discussion we decline to cover the car."

Already reinsured with my previous policy holder. Done. So much for Hagerty Canada... My friend is pissed he put a lot of time and effort into getting Hagerty it into Canada because this was not supposed to happen.

I have a 66 Shelby GT350 vintage race car insured with Haggerty and it isn't covered at the track but just about everywhere else.

FWIW I'd call Hagerty direct. They don't have an entire policy endorsement to clarify what is and is not covered at a race for nothing. Look at the pdf above, starting on page 22.

Haggerty would NOT insure my Camaro because it "has too much horsepower"... and the body was too "customized". They would ONLY insure it while being stored... or in a inclosed car carrier. I was not allowed to drive it AT ALL!! what a joke.

I also tried to get my M5 insured with them as well... before the Camaro. Because it had 800+ hp... they would not insure it.

Grundy is much more "mod friendly" than Hagerty in my experience, and has no mileage limitations.
