Thanks for the kind words guys! Can’t wait to see some G-machines in action at Road America in a couple weeks! I live only about 20 minutes away
Spent some time yesterday finishing up my panhard bar install. What a PITA.
I got it all in but had a slight clearance problem with the top of the pumpkin and the cross bar, the bolts that held the pumpkin cover were contacting it with the car loaded down (Wife, 2-kids, full tank of fuel). So after a bit of head-scratching I decided to notch the rectangular cross bar to give another 2” of clearance.
So I put the car on jack stands and proceed to get it done while laying on my back grinding and welding over my chest and face while reaching around the rear axle. NOT fun but I think I have the problem licked.
Here is a couple pictures of the project.

I started with the maier racing mustang kit, and I was able to use the bar, and lower spring mount/bar mount with some modification.

I cut the frame bracket appart and used some of the pieces as shown here.
Here is a picture showing the wooden pattern placing the frame mount while making sure it was placed straight across from the axle mount at ride height.

And the completed bracket.

Glad it's done!
Next big project - get the girl trans out and put in a 5-speed

Beautiful!!!! I love the Javelin, and frankly, I always thought they looked better than the AMX.

Shiny Side Up!

Thanks!
Plus the Javelin has a back seat, which I need so the small people that live in my house can fit in the car

Blast from the past! I just came by this thread while searching for something else.
The car has evolved a ton since this last post including an Automatic to G-Force T5 that I built myself and still hasn't broken
When that was done I put a new motor with lots of upgrades

I posted here once last year, so I may as well do another post for this year.
New axle from Moser with all the good bits inside and rear disc brakes, and a pic from last year at the Kenosha Homecoming.

You guys here might like this too, a bit of restore, and weight reduction up front. Yes, it's real.
