The window sticker had an augment that asked for "Best offer over sticker!" Sticker was $48K. Z28 outside didn't have a window sticker and the salesman I talked to said they wouldn't entertain any offers under $100K. I guess they planned on keeping the cars for themselves( Freeway Chevrolet in Tempe AZ).
Rick - wow - shop elsewhere! They only made 3k cars for 14, and 15 each - but they are available if you look for them.

Jay - that project will get started soon. I will probably wait until after I get back from SEMA though - just got too much crap coming up.

So after waiting for the bolts - I made some good progress on the rear.

I mocked up the rear caliper - and it hit the dust shield - so I trimmed it and got the clearance that I needed. I then put the 15 SS rear rotor up and hit the damn dust shield - FAIL! The rear dust shield wraps around the stock rear rotor and the lip prevented the rotor from sitting all the way on the hub. So after stocking up on new 3" cut off wheels - I cut off the lip, painted the dust shield, and continued on with the swap.

I finished up the passenger side - and got the drivers side tore apart. I could have finished it up tonight but I don't want to piss off the neighbors with late night cutting/grinding.

Great update. I had to switch to solid rear subframe bushings on my 5th Gen Camaro because of the crazy wheel hop. I also swap out the rear diff bushings poly / delrin and it made a huge difference.

Side note: There is more chassis noise transmitted through the car.

I've gone on a few test drives now - and holycrap there is a ton of noise!

I've filmed it but it doesn't do the extra sound justice.

I will say this - there is no more slop between shifting gears - and it feels way more solid!

Another week - another build update!

With all of the braces and upgrades install - it was finally time to install new z06 transmission and diff.

The transmission went into place after some struggle - after I got it lined up - it slid right in.

In this video I install a C7 backup camera onto my C6 Corvette.

I install a GM C7 Corvette backup camera on the car - and connect it to the Navtool Backup Kit that I installed in the last video.

Special thanks to ZEEEE 06 for the help on the wiring!
