How did you guys like the AX course this year? I'm part of the club that stages the event and we have struggled with using the space allowed for the AX for the best possible course. Looking at the times it appears the course was longer than last year, hopefully it was more popular.

I wasn't at the CC event last weekend. I attended the vintage car races at Road America (The KIC). Coincidentally, The Temptress was there with (I presume) Jeff's son.

I was at RA doing some reconnaissance on First Gen Camaro Road Race cars. I've started my Vintage Racing '69 Camaro project and needed to see first-hand what guys are doing.

Tom,
All the chatter I heard was very positive. I never made it down to the course as the line and the heat was a little more than I wanted to deal with.

For a lot of the guys, it was the highlight of the weekend. Hopefully, they can continue with a similar set up next year.

Randy

The course was great for its size! It was a much "easier" course than I'm used to doing at SCCA events, but that is to be expected where most of the participants are novices. The space was about double last year's but there was a return area so you'd basically do 2 laps, making it almost 4X the length of last year's course.

I was working the course Friday and Saturday. Looked like everyone had fun, a lot of positive feedback. It was a blast to watch you guys handle your cars, specifically Randy, Derek and Jeff.

Tom, keep us posted on your new racer. I enjoyed watching the Mustang at BIR, look forward to seeing the new vintage Camaro.

I liked the course it looked simple but there were some bumps and getting the right line was tricky at times. I'd like to see next years course more in front of the grandstand as there were so many spectators this year it was a mess trying to moved the cars around. They spectators could then get a better view from the grand stands.
Here's a video of our Vega.
