We are keeping the Getrag Matt.. The shifter is pretty far back & sits high..
But like that about the shifter position.. & can be modified pretty easy.. The assy track system will be a nightmare though.. The 5.0 motor is huge & have to fit it between some pretty narrow frame rails.. but we already have a plan on how to make it work.. I think!

Got our Dynatech headers today.. Got the driver side in today.. the pass side will not be that easy.. Cut up up a brand new set of headers!

Just curious, are you keeping the Getrag? I don't know if you've taken measurements, but I was curious as to how far back the shifter would end up.

Right know I don't know if I'm going to keep the TR6060. I have a T56 that needs to be rebuilt lying around as well. with the TR6060, or Getrag, I think I would need a different output shaft to fit a traditional slip yoke. Additionally, the shifter is pretty far back and if I set the engine back I'd probably have to drive from the back seat.

Hell, right now my Mustang is on the back burner because there is no way I could fit the 5.4 supercharged DOHC engine with both conventional power steering and A/C on the accessory drive. The increased deck height, plus supercharger makes everything just a little too much bigger than the 5.0s, which are a tight fit. Given that the engine was my starting point, (and cost more than the car) I decided to just build another car around the engine.

Anyway, this thread is about your/your customer's car so I won't digress beyond tech talk of what might/might not work.
